Text Message Consent

Last updated 24 August 2026

Mudroom is a private household coordination assistant, operated by momOS, a sole proprietorship, and used by a single household. This page is what you are shown before you decide whether to receive its text messages. Nothing is ever sent to you unless you text Mudroom first and then confirm.

What you would be agreeing to receive

Roughly one message a week, plus occasional messages when the schedule changes or when you are asked something, and a reply when you text Mudroom yourself. Message frequency varies.

What you would never receive

Marketing of any kind. Mudroom sells nothing, promotes nothing, and is not offered to the public. It exists to run one household.

Message and data rates may apply. Mudroom does not charge you for messages; your mobile carrier's standard rates apply.

Agreeing is entirely optional. It is not a condition of employment, of being hired, of being paid, or of anything else. You can decline now and you can change your mind at any time afterwards.

How to stop, at any time

Reply STOP to any message. You will get one confirmation and nothing after that. Reply HELP to any message for contact information. You can also simply tell the household manager, who will remove you.

What happens to your information

Your name, mobile number, and the messages you exchange with Mudroom are stored so the household's schedule stays accurate. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and your opt-in and consent are never shared with anyone. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy, and the messaging terms are in the SMS Terms & Conditions.

How you say yes

Mudroom does not add you — you add yourself, in two steps, and nothing is sent to you until you have finished both. There is no form to sign.

Mudroom — how to start

1. Text the word START to (415) 707-7288, from the mobile you want the messages on.

2. Mudroom texts back explaining what it sends, how often, and how to stop. Reply Y to that message and you are on. Reply anything else, or nothing at all, and you are not.

Your two messages are the record of your consent — the household keeps them, and they are not submitted anywhere.

This number belongs to one household, and the household manager decides who is on its list. If you text START and you were not expected, Mudroom replies once to say so and nothing further is sent.
