SMS Terms & Conditions

Last updated 24 August 2026

Mudroom is a private household coordination assistant, operated by momOS, a sole proprietorship. It sends weekly schedule summaries and alerts when plans change to the members and staff of a single household, and it receives schedule updates by text.

Who the program is for

Recipients are the adults of one household and the people that household employs — for example a nanny or a cleaner. Mudroom is not offered to the public, there is no public signup for its messages, and it sends no marketing of any kind.

How you join

You start the messages yourself, in two steps. Text START to (415) 707-7288 from the mobile you want the messages on; Mudroom texts back explaining what it sends, how often and how to stop, and you reply Y to confirm. Reply anything else, or nothing, and you are not added. The text message consent page sets all of this out in full. Nothing is sent to a number that has not texted START and then confirmed. Agreeing is not a condition of employment and is not tied to any purchase. You can decline, and you can change your mind later.

What Mudroom sends

Message frequency

Roughly one message a week — the weekly summary — plus occasional messages when the schedule changes or when you are asked something, and a reply when you text Mudroom yourself. Message frequency varies.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Mudroom does not charge you for messages; your mobile carrier's standard rates apply.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message. You will get one confirmation and nothing after that. To start again, reply START or ask the household manager to add you back.

How to get help

Reply HELP to any message for contact information, or write to hello@usemudroom.com.

Carriers and delivery

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed, and Mudroom should not be relied on as the only means of reaching someone about anything urgent.

Available on major US mobile carriers. Carrier support may change.

Privacy

What Mudroom collects and how it is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy. In short: no mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and nothing is ever sold.
