Mudroom is a private household coordination tool, operated by momOS, a sole proprietorship, and used by a single household — the family and the people they employ to help run it. There is no signup, no public version, and no advertising anywhere in it. Most of this policy is about the people in that household; one section covers anyone who leaves an email address on our website.
The household's adults, their children, and the household staff — for example a nanny or a cleaner — who have agreed to exchange text messages with Mudroom.
Mudroom deliberately stores less than it could. For a parent's work absence, for instance, it keeps only that the person is unavailable between two times — not the meeting, the attendees, or the employer.
Only to run the household: to record schedules and shifts, to work out when childcare is uncovered, to send weekly summaries and alerts when plans change, and to answer questions by text. That is the entire purpose. It is never used for advertising or profiling.
This is the one thing on this page that is not about the household. Our website has a form for people who want to hear when Mudroom opens to more families. If you use it, we collect your email address and nothing else — no name, no phone number, no account.
No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, and that information is excluded from every other category of sharing described in this policy.
Mudroom sends and receives messages through Twilio, its telecommunications provider, solely to deliver the messages you have agreed to receive. Twilio processes them on our behalf and is not permitted to use them for its own purposes.
We may disclose information where the law requires it.
Mudroom holds details about the household's own children — names, schools, allergies, schedules — entered by their parents. Children do not use Mudroom, are not sent messages, and nothing is collected from them directly.
For as long as the household uses Mudroom. Records keep their history so that a mistake can be corrected rather than silently overwritten. Ask us to delete your information and we will, except where we are required to keep it.
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to the dashboard requires the household's own credentials. Messages arriving from an unrecognised phone number or email address are rejected without a reply, and nothing about the household is sent back to them.
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
